Day four at Royal Ascot features two excellent Group One races. The first is the newest top-level race of the meeting, the Commonwealth Cup, which is open only to three-year-olds and run over a trip of six furlongs.

Let's take a look through the latest Commonwealth Cup betting and run through the headline entries.

2025 Commonwealth Cup Entries

Last year's Middle Park and Dewhurst Stakes winner, Shadow Of Light heads this betting heat. Charlie Appleby seemed keen for another crack at a mile following his third-place finish in the 2000 Guineas, but after Ruling Court missed the Epsom Derby and ran in the St James's Palace Stakes, Shadow Of Light was forced to drop back in trip.

Babouche bounced back from a poor reappearance by winning the Lacken Stakes and Ger Lyon's filly will be getting weight from the colts in this Group One. Like the favourite, Jonquil drops back down to six furlongs, despite a narrow defeat to Henri Matisse in the French version of the 2000 Guineas.

Whistlejacket drifted down the Royal Ascot betting following his defeat to Babouche in the Lacken Stakes. Ides Of March will also represent Aidan O'Brien, despite two runner-up finishes so far this season.

Arabian Dusk and Big Mojo step up to Group One company following second and fourth-place finishes in the Sandy Lane Stakes at Haydock. Group Two winner, Sky Majesty takes her chance, despite a disappointing showing on her reappearance at Chelmsford.

Rayevka makes her British debut on the back of a runaway victory in the Prix Marchand d'Or. The Qatar Racing-owned Shisospicy flies the flag for American, having won her last three starts on turf.

Last year's Queen Mary Stakes winner, Leovanni features in the final field. Arabian Dusk, Lady With The Lamp, Sky Majesty and Sayidah Dariyan will also be getting a fillies' allowance. Arizona Blaze, Berkshire Whisper, Ain't Nobody and Soldier's Heart also feature in the final field.

2025 Commonwealth Cup Tips

Shadow Of Light is the clear stand-out in this Group One. Charlie Appleby's star was brilliant over this sort of trip as a juvenile and ran a blinder to place third in the 2000 Guineas on his reappearance. 9/4 is too short a price for me to take in a race as competitive as this, but if William Buick's mount won comfortably, I wouldn't be surprised.

Jonquil is interesting dropping down in trip and both of Aidan O'Brien's runners warrant respect. As does BIG MOJO (18/1), who won the trial for the Commonwealth Cup in a good time and Mick Appleby's colt can be backed at 18/1.

Big Mojo followed in the footsteps of Big Evs by winning the Molecomb Stakes on his second career start last term. Following a fourth-place finish in the Gimcrack, Appleby dropped his colt back to five furlongs for his final two juvenile starts, with Big Mojo losing out by a neck in the Flying Childers before an excellent fourth at the Breeders' Cup.

Hollie Doyle's mount proved he could see out six furlongs when winning the Pavillion Stakes, setting a fast time from a tricky low draw. Big Mojo could only finish fourth on his prep-run in the Sandy Lane Stakes, but Appleby's charge had no luck in running that day and was allowed to coast home when his winning chances had gone.

Big Evs never managed to win at Royal Ascot, but Big Mojo is just as talented as his former stablemate and Appleby had been training his star specifically for this contest.
