Hardwicke Stakes Tips & Betting Predictions

The Hardwicke Stakes is the biggest Group 2 during the Royal Ascot Festival and a quality field is going to take their place.

Some of the best European thoroughbreds have taken out the Hardwicke Stakes, including the likes of Sea Moon, Harbinger and Doyen. Which talented thoroughbred will take the honours this season?

We have Hardwicke Stakes tips & betting predictions for the 2018 running in June.

Hardwicke Stakes Best Tip - Crystal Ocean

The four-year-old colt is looking to remain unbeaten in 2018 after scoring consecutive victories this year.

Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, the son of Sea The Stars scored a win in the Gordon Richards Stakes by a short-head at Sandown Park before winning the Group 3 Al Rayyan Stakes at Newbury.

That win came by an incredible six lengths and it forced bookmakers to shorten his odds for the Hardwicke Stakes. He's now into 7/4 for the Day 5 feature and it's tough to disagree with those odds.

He's a winner of four from eight starts and he has yet to finish outside of the placings throughout his career. He hasn't been winning at value odds, with 7/4 being his longest winning price to date, so bettors are getting a fair price for the current favourite.

Hardwicke Stakes Each Way Tip - Barsanti

Barsanti has plenty of experience to call upon and he could offer some value for bettors at odds of 8/1 in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes.

The six-year-old has a great record of 15 starts for five wins and nine placings, which included a win at Ascot last start in the Listed Buckhounds Stakes. That might have been worth only £25,520 but he defeated a quality field that included fellow 8/1 chance Mirage Dancer.

He's looking to go one better than he did last year when running second in the Hardwicke Stakes behind Idaho and he hasn't lost any of his staying power since. He is only a lightly-tried type and that should have him in good order for the upcoming Royal Ascot Festival.

Hardwicke Stakes Longshot Tip - Eminent

Eminent has a rough chance to win at nice odds. The son of Frankel hasn't been exposed to the quality of racing needed to win the Hardwicke Stakes but he did win at Group 2 level in France.

The four-year-old scored a tough win in the D'ornano Stakes at Deauville and the New Zealand-owned runner could add some spice to the famous race.

20/1 odds are definitely worth an each way bet.
