The Platinum Jubilee Stakes is the last of the eight Group One races staged during Royal Ascot. This historic Sprint has been renamed to honour the incredible landmark reached by Her Majesty, The Queen, who celebrates 70 years on the throne in 2022.

Like the King's Stand Stakes, foreign raiders dominate the betting for this six-furlong sprint. Chris Waller's Black Caviar Lightning winner, Home Affairs tops the betting ahead of Wesley Ward's Campanelle, who's won the Queen Mary and the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot the last two years.

Champions Sprint winner, Creative Force is the highest-placed of the home runners in the betting. William Haggas has handed an entry to speedy filly Sacred, with John Quinn's impressive Duke Of York Stakes winner, Highfield Princess also likely to take on the colts.

Owen Burrows will be hopeful that Minzaal can step up to the plate on day five of Royal Ascot. Richard Hannon's Happy Romance, Archie Watson's Glen Shiel and another Australian raider, Artorius for Anthony and Sam Freedman.

A Case Of You skipped the King's Stand Stakes to go for this Group One. Alcohol Free will be dropping back down to six furlongs, having won the Coronation Stakes at this meeting 12 months ago.

Great Ambassador, Grenadier Guards, Dragon Symbol, King's Lynn and Kinross also feature in the 27-strong field for the Platinum Jubilee Stakes. As do Diligent Harry, Double Of Bubble, Emaraaty Ana, Umm Kulthum and Garrus.

Happy Romance E/W2022 Platinum Jubilee Stakes Tip 1GET 28/1 HERE

Following Nature Strip's impressive win on day one of Royal Ascot, Home Affairs - who beat his stablemate in the Black Caviar Lightning back in February - has been smashed up in the betting. At 2/1, I feel the favourite is now a little too short in the market, but he's certainly got an excellent chance.

Being drawn in stall one is far from ideal for Creative Force and I'd have liked to have seen William Haggas get a prep-run into the speedy Sacred. Campanelle is two-from-two at Royal Ascot, but Irad Ortiz has had a shocker of a meeting so far and I worry that the ground may be a little too quick for Wesley Ward's filly.

With as many as six paid places up for grabs, I'm going to back two at tasty prices, starting with Richard Hannon's filly, HAPPY ROMANCE.

Sean Levey's mount beat Diligent Harry in the Hackwood Stakes last season, and was then only beaten a length when fourth in the Sprint Cup at Haydock. This year, Happy Romance has run twice out in the UAE, losing out by just half-a-length in the seven-furlong Turf Sprint in Saudi, before another excellent run to finish second behind A Case Of You in the lucrative Al Quoz Sprint.

Being a two-time Group Three winner, and now dual Group One placed, Hannon and the owners, The McMurray Family could have retired Happy Romance to stud. The fact that she remains in training for 2022 suggests the team feels a Group One win could be within Happy Romance's reach.

Dragon Symbol E/W2022 Platinum Jubilee Stakes Tip 2GET 40/1 HERE

Another who's worth backing at a huge price is DRAGON SYMBOL, who crossed the line first in last year's Commonwealth Cup, only to have the stewards hand the race to Campenelle.

Having hit the crossbar in Group One company countless times last season, Dragon Symbol was transferred over to Roger Varian's yard. Ahead of his stable debut at York, it was noted that Dragon Symbol seemed to be carrying plenty of condition, so it was no surprise to see David Egan's mount trail over the line a well-beaten seventh.

Dragon Symbol stripped fitter on his most recent run at Haydock, where he was narrowly beaten by a thoroughly in-form Raasel. If Dragon Symbol has come on again for that second outing of the season, then I see no reason why Varian's recruit can't throw his hat into the ring in this hugely competitive sprint.
