2022 Prince Of Wales's Stakes Entries

Sir Michael Stoute will be hoping Bay Bridge can hand him a fifth winner of the Prince Of Wales's, some 40 years after his first winner in 1981. Bay Bridge progressed quickly last season and produced a performance of Group One standard on his reappearance in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes.

Sitting closest to the clear favourite in the betting is Japanese raider Shahryar, who was last seen handing Hideaki Fujiwara the Sheema Classic on Dubai World Cup Night. Fellow Sheema Classic winner and last year's Juddmonte International king, Mishriff sits third in the market.

Mishriff's stablemate, Lord North could return to the race he won so convincingly in 2020. He could be joined in the field by Joseph O'Brien's Cox Plate and Prix Ganay winner State Of Rest, who finished one place ahead of Lord North when third in the Tattersalls Gold Cup last time out.

Mostahdaf could renew rivalries with Bay Bridge, having been beaten five lengths in the Brigadier Gerard last month. William Haggas could run two-time Group Two winner Dubai Honour, and former Champion Stakes winner Addeybb.

Other possible Royal Ascot runners include Aidan O'Brien's trio of Mother Earth, Broome and Order Of Australia. Paddy Twomey's star, La Petite Coco has also been handed a Prince Of Wales's entry.
