The third and final Group One on day one of Royal Ascot is the St James's Palace Stakes. Three-year-olds will be under the spotlight in this eight-furlong Group One and it's this year's 2000 Guineas winner who dominates the market.

2022 St James's Palace Stakes Entries
Coroebus lowered the colours of stablemate Native Trail to hand Charlie Appleby his first victory in the 2000 Guineas. With Native Trail, who followed up by winning the Irish Guineas, unlikely to head to Ascot, Coroebus has been installed as the 1/2 favourite for this Group One by Fitzdares.
William Haggas could throw two promising three-year-olds into the St James's Palace Stakes, with both My Prospero and Maljoom sitting prominently in the market. Roger Varian could run Eydon, if he's recovered from the setback which saw him miss the Epsom Derby.
Aidan O'Brien has handed an entry to Point Lonsdale, while Shiela Lavery could be represented by Irish Guineas runner-up, New Energy. If the ground was to come up on the slow side, then Ralph Beckett's Angel Bleu would likely take his chance.
Hugo Palmer's Dubai Legend and Andrew Balding's Berkshire Shadow could take up their Royal Ascot entries. Bayside Boy, Checkandchallenge, Lusail and Aikhal could also take on Coroebus on day one.
