2020 Sprint Cup Favourite

Heading the market with race-sponsors Betfair we find Oxted. Roger Teal's star continued his upward curve of progression at Newmarket last time out, surging clear to win the first Group One of his career in the Sprint Cup. Having skipped a tilt at the Nunthorpe, Oxted is fancied by many to secure back-to-back wins at Haydock this weekend.

2020 Sprint Cup Runners

Hello Youmzain built on his success in this race 12 months ago with a fine victory at Royal Ascot, hanging tough at the front to win the Diamond Jubilee Stakes. Kevin Ryan's star has some ground to make up on Oxted, though, having crossed the line four lengths behind his rival at Newmarket.

Golden Horde also went down to Oxted in the July Cup, coming home less than two lengths behind his rival in third. Clive Cox's Commonwealth Cup winner will be gaining weight from his elders again, and could take well to the softer ground we're sure to find up at Haydock.

Dream Of Dreams was backed into co-favouritism for this race 12 months ago, before labouring to an eighth-place finish. Sir Michael Stoute's six-year-old returns to Merseyside on the back of a stunning seven-length triumph in the Hungerford Stakes last time out, but is yet to win a Group-race over six furlongs.

Aidan O'Brien could throw Lope Y Fernandes into battle, having returned to form at Deauville over the summer. O'Brien's charge finished less than a length behind Pinatubo in the Prix Jean Prat, and ran on well to place third as Space Blues won the Prix Maurice de Gheest.

Art Power could be turned out again, having flopped on his last outing in the Nunthorpe. Two Sheikh Hamdan horses come next in the betting, with Tabdeed and Khaadem both sitting on 14/1.

2017 winner, The Tin Man could make his fifth appearance in the Sprint Cup. Another regular here at Haydock is Brando, and he could turn out for the fourth time.

Queen Jojo could join stablemate Hello Youmzain in the field, while the likes of Glen Shiel, Archer's Dream and Forever In Dreams are other possible runners.
