2020 Sydney Cup Best Bet - Young Rascal

Young Rascal is an English galloper from the William Haggas stable that won his first race in Australia. It came in the Group 3 Manion Cup over 2400m at Rosehill on 21 March.

It was a brave run carrying 59kg, he was three wide on straightening and fought back tenaciously to beat Mugatoo by 0.4 lengths. Young Rascal isn't proven past 2400m but he is a lightly-raced type and the staying prowess of the European
horses has to be respected.
This isn't the strongest Sydney Cup field and Young Rascal's ability to pull away late with 59kg holds him good stead here with a 59kg here and Tom Marquand remaning on board.

Young Rascal is the strongest candidate to win the 2020 Sydney Cup.
