2020 Belmont Stakes Tips & Betting Predictions

The Belmont Stakes is the final leg of the Triple Crown, which includes the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes.

Often the most exciting due to a potential Triple Crown winner, the Belmont Stakes attracts a huge New York crowd to watch the best three-year-old middle-distance thoroughbreds in the US.

The field doesn't quite have the star power in 2020, with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes winners not taking part, but punters are still getting good value across the board.

2020 Belmont Stakes Best Bet - Tacitus @ 2.62

Tactius has been the Belmont Stakes favourite since running third in the Kentucky Derby behind Country House.

The William Mott-trained runner didn't have much luck in running but stuck on gamely in the wet conditions at Churchill Downs.

He bypassed the Preakness Stakes to better prepare for this run and that could be the winning of the race. He'll be fresh and ready to go for the Belmont Stakes.

His form prior to that placing included three consecutive wins with two coming at Aqueduct and that form should stack up nicely.

2020 Belmont Stakes Best Each Way - Everfast @ 9.00

Everfast represents value at the 9.00 quote following his second placing in the Preakness Stakes last month. The three-year-old improved on some average form to run second behind War of Will and he should have improved.

He's a son of Take Charge Indy which has won only one of his 10 starts, but his run in the Preakness Stakes was too good to overlook.

Punters are getting good value and he should be able to run another good race. This field isn't any harder than what he has faced recently.

2020 Belmont Stakes Best Roughie - Master Fencer @ 12.00

Connections are confident in Master Fencer and his odds have firmed nicely throughout the week.

The colt finished sixth in the Kentucky Derby and has seemingly improved since, according to reports from trainer Koichi Tsunoda.

The Japanese runners are always tough to beat over the longer distances and he adds some intriuge to the American race.

Best Bet: Tacitus - 2.62 @ bet365
Best Each Way: Everfast - 9.00 @ bet365
Best Roughie: Master Fencer - 12.00 @ bet365
