Warwick Farm Racing Preview For March 11th 2020

It's a tough seven race Sydney program from Warwick Farm on Wednesday but with that, there's plenty of value over the card.

The track is currently in the Soft range and even though there no more rain expected in Sydney on race day, horses will still be getting their toe into a surface that doesn't generally drain too well.

Warwick Farm NAP: Race 2 - No. 3 Kinane @ $3.60

Master trainer Chris Waller has a new addition to his burgeoning stable in the form of this son of Reliable Man who was very unlucky not to have won on his October 2019 debut

Starting his career in Victoria under the care of Michael Kent, he was a hard watch for his supporters in that first start where he was held up and inconvenienced for much of the run home and was racing in restricted room as soon as he looked to have a found an inside passage.

He was sent for a spell following that and after a quiet trial in Victoria, this three-year-old delivered a much stronger piece of work when finishing next to Zakat and All Time Legend at the Rosehill trials in Sydney recently, with both of them gallopers coming straight out of that heat to win their next starts.

Kinane is a progressive type who will get over longer distances in time but resuming over seven furlongs is a good starting point and in a rather weak maiden field, we're with him as our NAP on the Warwick Farm Wednesday program

Warwick Farm Value Bet: Race 3 - No. 11 Twice As Special @ $6.50

This honest filly by the Australian stalwart stallion in Testa Rossa has been building towards this six furlong run via two 1100 metre attempts this year.

Trained locally at Warwick Farm, this three-year-old resumed with an even midfield effort on her home track versus a strong maiden field on January 27 and improved greatly from that performance to place on the Kensington circuit at Royal Randwick in her latest run.

She peeled off the fastest last six furlongs of that entire race when getting home strongly for third and in the process put a two length margin on the fourth placed Mensa Missile, who was a very impressive recent winner at short odds following that run.

Twice As Special has a wide barrier to contend with but on a circuit where the inside lanes can be tough going when it's rain-affected, she can find the best ground and with the extra 100 metres, looks a nice value chance in the third from Warwick Farm

What's the best long shot at Warwick Farm?

It's a tough card hence it wouldn't be a surprise to see a few roughies win and they do have a habit of lobbing at Warwick Farm when it's wet.

Whilst he doesn't classify as a long shot, the $1.5 million dollar yearling purchase in Creator (Race 6) resumes with some elite form lines around his 2019 calendar year.

He's trialed up fairly and in a very winnable race, is around 7/1 presently with most bookmakers, however I'd be inclined to respect the late betting moves (either positive or negative) with him.

Verdict

Kinane has promise and on a challenging Warwick Farm card, he'll run as our NAP in Race 2.

Twice As Special represents value following that in Race 3 where she looks suited stepping up in trip.
