The Hurricanes snapped a four-game losing skid with a 6-2 blowout of the Blue Jackets in Colorado.

They then backed that up with a 2-1 home win against Pittsburgh before dropping a shootout to Vancouver.

Carolina hit back immediately though, beating Minnesota 5-2 at home.

The Hurricanes then backed that up on the road last Saturday night as they knocked off the New York Islanders, 5-2.

Dallas Stars Form

Dallas have blown hot and cold over the past couple of weeks, going 3-4 in their last eight games.

This sequence started when the Stars fell to a 2-1 overtime defeat at the New York Rangers.

That was followed by a 6-5 loss at home to Calgary, but the Stats bounced back to register a 4-0 shutout win in Vegas.

Dallas then fell to a 5-3 defeat in San Jose, only to rebound with a back-to-back 4-0 wins, beating Los Angeles on the road and Arizona at home.

The Stars failed to make it three-in-a-row on Monday though, losing 3-2 in overtime against Buffalo.
