Carolina head to Dallas on the back of a couple of wins and having won six of their last eight games.

The Hurricanes rebounded from a 5-2 defeat to Los Angeles with a 4-2 home win against Detroit.

They failed to follow that up as they were beaten 5-2 by Minnesota, but they bounced back with a 3-2 win in Boston that sparked a three-game win streak.

Carolina returned home to edge New Jersey 3-2, before running out 3-1 winners when they hosted Arizona.

The Hurricanes failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 3-2 to Vancouver, but they hit back quickly to blow out Colorado 5-0 and beat New Jersey 1-0 in overtime.

Dallas Stars Form

Dallas return home looking to back up the weekend win in Montreal – their sixth win in eight games.

The Stars bounced back from a 5-1 loss in Philadelphia by taking down New Jersey on the road, 6-2.

They were unable to make it back-to-back wins as they lost 3-2 in overtime at the New York Islanders, but they bounced back from that with a four-game win streak.

Dallas got back on track with a 5-4 win in Detroit, and then beat both Anaheim and Washington in overtime at home, 4-3 and 5-4, before heading to Buffalo for a 2-1 victory.

The Stars’ streak was ended by a 5-4 defeat in Toronto, but they issued an immediate response in the form of a 3-2 win in Montreal.
