Colorado head back out on the road having levelled the series at two wins apiece with a shutout win over the weekend.

The Avalanche made an ideal start to this series as they won the opening game on the road, beating the Stars 5-1.

They failed to back that up over the next two games though, losing 4-3 in overtime on the road before returning home to lose 2-1 in overtime.

Colorado bounced back in Game 4 though, shutting out the Stars as they ran out 4-0 winners on the home ice.

The Avalanche claimed their spot in the postseason by compiling a 49-29-4 record to finish third in the Central Division standings.

Dallas Stars Form

Dallas return home looking to bounce back from a Game 4 defeat that has knotted up this series at 2-2.

The Stars opened this series with back-to-back home games but saw their losing skid reach eight games as they lost 5-1 to Colorado in Game 1.

They rebounded to take the next game though, running out 4-3 winners in overtime, and they backed that up in their first road game of the series as they won 2-1 in overtime.

Dallas were unable to make it three-in-a-row though, as they were beaten 4-0 by the Avalanche on Saturday.

The Stars earned their place in the playoffs by putting together a 50-26-6 regular-season record to finish second in the Central Division.

Colorado delivered for us in Game 4 and we expect them to back that up on the road.
