Dallas head to Colorado in rough form, having lost for the fifth time in their last six games just last night.

The Stars went into the All-Star break on a three-game win streak and picked up from where they left off by beating Buffalo, 2-1, in their return to action.

They then dropped a game in Toronto, 5-4, before getting back on track by sandwiching a 4-2 home win over Carolina with road wins against Montreal, 3-2, and Nashville, 9-2.

Dallas’ form nose-dived after blowing out the Predators though, as they lost 4-3 (OT) to Edmonton before heading out on the road to lose 4-3 (SO) to Boston, 3-1 to the New York Rangers, and 4-1 to Ottawa.

The Stars were able to avoid a five-game losing skid, as they won 2-1 in Carolina over the weekend, only to lose 3-2 in overtime when they hosted the New York Islanders last night.

Colorado head into this game looking to get back on track after losing their last couple of games.

The Avalanche entered the All-Star break on a three-game win streak, but their form has cooled off since they returned to action.

A 2-1 overtime defeat at the New York Rangers sparked a four-game skid that also saw the lose 5-3 in New Jersey, 5-2 at Carolina and 4-0 at Florida.

Colorado rallied after that, winning 6-3 in Washington before bouncing back from a 6-3 loss at Tampa Bay with home wins over Arizona, 4-3, and Vancouver, 3-1.

The Avalanche failed to keep the wins coming though, losing 2-1 in overtime in Detroit and 4-3 at home to Toronto.
