The Stars, who went 52-21-9 in the regular season, made a slow start to the playoffs as they lost back-to-back home games against Vegas.

They bounced back to win four of the next five meetings though, completing the comeback with a 2-1 victory in Game 7.

Dallas had to bounce back from losing the series opener against Colorado too, and they did just that with a three-game streak, before responding to a 5-3 loss with a series-clinching 2-1 victory in overtime.

The Stars' unhealthy knack for going behind early continued in the first game of this series too, as they lost 3-2 in overtime to Edmonton, but they have again showed resiliency with 3-1 and 5-3 wins.

Edmonton Oilers Form

Edmonton go into their second home game of the series looking to bounce back from a couple of defeats that have left them 2-1 down.

The Oilers, who went 49-27-6 in the regular season, cruised through the first round of the playoffs with a 4-1 win over Los Angeles.

The second round proved to be a tougher challenge as they went all seven games against Vancouver, finally getting the job done with a 5-1 home win in Game 6, and a 3-2 road victory in Game 7.

Edmonton gave themselves an early advantage in the Western Conference Finals, winning 3-2 in overtime in Dallas, but they have been unable to build on that.

The Oilers fell to a 3-1 defeat in the second game of the series, before falling to a 5-3 defeat in their opening home game.
