Edmonton Oilers at Vegas Golden Knights Predictions & Tips

Edmonton are backed to wrap up this series with a victory in Vegas.

The Oilers have momentum firmly on their side and have already won twice in ‘Sin City’ during this series.

  • Edmonton Oilers have won 7 of their last 8 games
  • Edmonton have won 5 of their last 6 meetings with Vegas
  • Vegas Golden Knights have lost 3 of their 5 home playoff games
  • 8 of Edmonton’s last 10 games have produced over 6.5 total goals

Head To Head

  • Edmonton Oilers lead the all-time series 18-14-2
  • Edmonton Oilers won 3-0 when the two teams last met on May 12

Edmonton Oilers Form

Edmonton head back out on the road with an opportunity to wrap up this series in Game 5.

The Oilers opened the series in Vegas and made a sensational start, taking control with a 4-2 win in regulation and a 5-4 victory in overtime.

They dropped their opening home game of the series, 4-3, but they issued a firm response to regain a two-game cushion.

Edmonton shut out Vegas in a 3-0 victory on Monday, and that means one more win will see them advance to the next round.

The Oilers earned their spot in the playoffs by compiling a 48-29-5 record, and in the first round they downed Los Angeles 4-2.

Vegas Golden Knights Form

Vegas return home behind the 8-Ball, knowing that one more defeat will bring an end to their season.

The Golden Knights entered this series with home advantage but threw it away over the first two meetings with Edmonton.

They lost 4-2 in regulation and 5-4 in overtime to the Oilers, meaning they needed to get something on the road to extend this series beyond four games.

Vegas did rally to win 4-3 in Game 3, but they failed to build on that as they lost 3-0 on Monday, leaving them on the brink of elimination.

The Golden Knights earned their place in the playoffs by going 50-22-10 in the regular season to win the division, and ran out 4-2 winners when they faced Minnesota in round one.
