Florida Panthers at Vegas Golden Knights NHL Stanley Cup Finals Game 5 Live Stream

The Vegas Golden Knights have the chance to lift the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history when they host the Florida Panthers in Game 5 tonight.

The Golden Knights return home after recording back-to-back road wins, opening up a 3-1 series, and that means they are now just one win away from being crowned world champions. To prevent that from happening tonight Florida must do something they have never done – win in Vegas!

So will Vegas complete a 4-1 series victory tonight, or can Florida finally break their T-Mobile Arena duck and take the series back to the ‘sunshine state’?

Florida are staring a series defeat in the face after back-to-back home losses, but the Panthers have shown they are a team that should not be written off easily.

In the first round they were paired with a Boston team that finished the regular season with the NHL’s best record, and there playoff stint looked set to be brief when they went 3-1 down in that series.

Florida came storming back in sensational fashion though, winning twice on the road as part of a three-game win streak that sealed a 4-3 series win, and that set up a series with Toronto that they won 4-1.

The Panthers then claimed the scalp of Carolina in the Eastern Conference Finals, and they did it in style by sweeping the stunned Hurricanes in four games.

Now they face the biggest challenge of them all, having lost twice at home to Vegas to fall 3-1 behind in the Stanley Cup Finals. It is win or bust for Florida from now on!

Vegas Golden Knights

Vegas are on the brink of winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history.

The Golden Knights enjoyed a fairly comfortable ride to the Finals as they downed Winnipeg 4-1, Edmonton 4-2 and Dallas 4-2, and they made a strong start to this series too.

Not only did they open up a 2-0 lead, they did it by out-scoring Florida 12-4 through those two games.

Vegas got hot in the third period of Game 1 and eventually ran out 5-2 winners, and they picked up from where they left off in Game 2 as they stormed to a 7-2 victory.

The Golden Knight’s hot streak was halted by a 3-2 overtime defeat in their first road game of the 2023 Stanley Cup Finals, but they hit back immediately with a 3-2 victory in Game 4, giving them the chance to clinch at home.

And of course, Vegas have not lost a home game to Florida since they entered the NHL!
