Montreal Canadiens Form & Team News

Montreal bounced back from back-to-back defeats in Calgary with Monday night’s win in Winnipeg. However, they have not managed back-to-back wins since the start of February and they have not won back-to-back road games since mid-January.

Canadiens coach Claude Julien has an almost full contingent to select from. Only Ben Chiarot (hand) is definitely out of this game after Phillip Danault overcame an undisclosed illness to face the Jets at the start of the week.

Winnipeg Jets Form & Team News

Winnipeg have traded wins and losses over the past week or so, going 4-3 in their last seven. And despite the loss to Montreal on Monday night they have had the upper-hand in this match-up this season. The Jets are 3-2 in the five games they have played against the Canadiens so far.

Coach Paul Maurice has no fresh injury concerns for Wednesday night. He does, however, remain without the services of Nathan Beaulieu (hand) and Bryan Little (head). Beaulieu is on injured reserve while Little will not return this season.

Verdict

Beating Winnipeg on their own ice is one thing. Doing it in back-to-back games is a whole different challenge.

The Jets can avenge Monday night's loss in another matchup with Montreal that sees a few goals.
