St Louis head back out on the road having forced Game 7 with their home win on Friday night.

The Blues earned their place in the playoffs by putting together a 44-30-8 record to finish fifth in the Central Division, but they made a rough start to the postseason.

They opened up this series with back-to-back games in Winnipeg and lost both outings, 5-3 and 2-1.

St Louis rebounded at home with 7-2 and 5-1 victories, but failed to take the series lead when they went back out on the road to lose 5-3.

The Blues once again responded at home though, as they beat the Jets 5-2 to set up this winner-takes-all showdown.

Winnipeg return home with another chance to clinch the series after passing up the opportunity on the road.

The Jets put together a league-best 56-22-4 record to win the Central Division, and made a flying start to the playoffs with back-to-back home wins.

They beat St Louis 5-3 and 2-1 to take control of the series, only to surrender their two-game lead on the road as they lost 7-2 and 5-1.

Winnipeg regained the series lead when they returned home to beat the Blues 5-3 in Game 5.

That gave the Jets chance to wrap things up on the road on Friday, but instead they suffered a 5-2 defeat at the hands of the Blues.
