Tampa Bay go into this game looking to rebound from a series-opening defeat before they head home.

The Lightning finished fourth in the Atlantic Division, having put together a 45-29-8 record during the regular season.

Their cooled off over the final couple of weeks as they lost four of their last six games on the schedule - a sequence that started with a 5-4 defeat in Pittsburgh.

Tampa Bay then failed to build on a 5-2 win over Columbus as they suffered three consecutive defeats, losing a shootout at home to Ottawa, before falling 4-2 in Washington and 4-2 at home to Buffalo.

The Lightning did wrap up the regular season with a win, beating Toronto 6-4, but they again failed to follow up a victory as they lost their postseason opener, losing 3-2 at Florida.

The Panthers were one of the regular season's top performers, going 52-24-6 to finish top of the Atlantic Division.

They finished the regular season strong too, winning each of their final four games to come into the postseason with plenty of momentum.

Florida started the sequence with a 2-0 victory over Ottawa, and followed that up by beating Columbus 4-2, Buffalo 3-0 in overtime, and Toronto 5-2 in regulation.

The Panthers then made it five wins in a row in their first game of the playoffs, beating Florida 3-2 on Sunday.
