Toronto are one win away from securing a place in the next round of the playoffs.

The Maple Leafs endured a nightmare start to this series with Montreal as they lost 2-1 at home.

Toronto rebounded impressively though, storming to a 5-1 win in Game 2 before edging the next 2-1.

They then romped to a 4-0 victory in Game 4, but lost 4-3 in Game 5 as a three-goal fightback proved to be in vain.

One more win will see Toronto through, and they have already beaten Montreal 10 times this season.

Nick Foligno is remains day-to-day after he sitting out Game 4 and Game 5 with a lower body injury.

Ben Hutton (undisclosed) remains day-to-day, while John Tavares (concussion) is ruled out.

Montreal kept the series alive in Game 5 but know one more defeat is the end for them.

They made a winning start to this series by beating the Maple Leafs in Toronto in Game 1.

Things quickly went downhill though as they were smashed 5-1 in Game 2 and lost 2-1 in Game 3.

A 4-0 defeat in Game 4 left Montreal on the brink, but they responded with a 3-2 overtime win on Thursday night.

They must now win Game 6 on their home ice to force a decider in Toronto next week.

Arttitu Lekhonen is still day-to-day with the head injury he suffered in the Game 3 defeat.

Jake Evans (undisclosed) is also day-to-day, but Jonathan Drouin (personal) is out indefinitely.
