Vegas Golden Knights Form

Vegas have underwhelmed in the playoffs so far.

The Golden Knights bounced back from losing Game 1 to win three straight against Minnesota in the last round.

3-1, 5-2 and 4-0 victories put them on the brink of going through, but they almost threw it all away.

Vegas blew their chance to wrap up the series at home, losing 4-2, and then lost 3-0 on the road.

That took the series to Game 7 and they lifted their game and left no doubt with a 6-2 rout of the Wild.

They were brought back down to Earth with a thud in Game 1 of this series though, losing 7-1.

To make matters worse, the Golden Knights lost Mattias Janmark to and undisclosed injury during that game and he is now listed as day-to-day.

Tomas Nosek (undisclosed), Brayden McNabb (COVID-19) and Peyton Krebs (jaw) are also day-to-day.

Ryan Reaves is suspended for two games following his Game 1 bust-up with Ryan Graves.

Colorado Avalanche Form

Colorado are a team in red-hot form after ruthlessly dispatching St Louis and blasting Vegas in Game 1.

The Avalanche won 8 of their last 9 games to storm into the postseason and continued in that form against the Blues.

A 4-1 victory in Game 1 proved to be a sign of things to come as they romped to victory in four straight games.

They took Game 2 by a score of 6-3 and then dominated the Blues in St Louis.

A 5-1 victory in Game 3 was followed up by a 5-2 win in Game 4 that secured their progression.

Colorado then picked up from where they left off in Game 1 of this series, crushing Vegas 7-1.

Nazem Kadri is suspended for Game 2m, while Jayson Megna (COVID-19) remains day-to-day.

Matt Calvert (undisclosed) is week-to-week, but Logan O’Connor (lower body), Erik Johnson (upper body) and Pavel Francouz (lower body) are all out.
