Dallas then bounced back from a surprise 3-2 defeat in Chicago with a 7-4 victory at Colorado and a 3-2 win at home to Buffalo.

The Stars then responded to a 3-0 loss to Winnipeg by closing out the regular season with a 3-1 win over Seattle and a shootout success against St Louis.
