Vegas continue to lead the NHL Stanley Cup Final series despite losing the third meeting with Florida.

The Golden Knights enjoyed a dominant run to the finals as they won 12 of their 17 games to make it this far.

They made a strong start to this series two as they rattled off a couple of home wins to open up a two-game lead over Florida.

A third-period surge lifted Vegas to a 5-2 victory in Game 1, and they followed that up with a dominant performance in a 7-2 success in Game 2.

The Golden Knights were unable to take a 3-0 series lead though, losing 3-2 in overtime in Game 3 on Thursday night.

Florida come into this game 2-1 down in the series but on the back of their Stanley Cup Finals game win in franchise history.

The Panthers won 12 of their 16 games on their way to the finals, upsetting Boston, Toronto and Carolina along the way.

They found themselves in a hole early in this series though, as their Vegas struggles continued in the first two games.

Florida have never won a game in Vegas, and that remains the case after 5-2 and 7-2 defeats to start the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Panthers steadied the ship in their first home game of the series though, as they beat Vegas 3-2 in overtime and now trail 2-1.
