Rumours of an Oasis reunion have been sparked by a tweet from Liam Gallagher. The former Oasis singer is self isolating like many more around the world due to the coronavirus pandemic.

That hasn't stopped the volatile frontman from staying in the news. A tweet directed at his brother and former Oasis guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher has sent Oasis fans into a frenzy.

There have been numerous calls for Oasis to reunite, but Noel has repeatedly shut them down due to not wanting to work with Liam.

The band split up on 28 August 2009 when the Gallagher brothers reportedly fought backstage. That caused the group's manager to announce the cancellation of their concert at the Rock en Seine festival in France just minutes before it was about to start.

Two hours later, a statement from Noel appeared on the band's website: "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer. "Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

Never say never, but maybe once the coronavirus pandemic ends Noel will be persuaded to put up with Liam for one show to raise money for charity.
