The Toronto Argonauts are outright favourites with the bookmakers as they attempt to claim back-to-back Canadian Football League crowns.
The Argonauts won a record-setting 19th Grey Cup last year when they beat Winnipeg 41-24, and when the 2025 campaign gets underway in June they will be looking to become the first team to win back-to-back CFL titles in over a decade.
In fact, only two teams have managed to repeat as CFL champions since 1981, showing the size of the challenge that Toronto are facing.
However, the bookmakers are confident that the 2025 group, led by head coach Ryan Dinwiddie, are capable of the achieving the feat, with Stake making the Argonauts the 14/5 favourites in the outright betting.
Their run to the 2024 Grey Cup included a narrow Division Final win over Montreal, and it is the Alouettes who are considered their biggest threats at odds of 17/4.
Saskatchewan, who also bowed out in the semi-finals of the playoffs last season, are 5/1 to go all the way this time around, while Winnipeg are out at 11/2 despite being a fixture of the Grey Cup in recent seasons.
The Blue Bombers have appeared in each of the last five CFL finals, albeit losing in each of the last three.
The BC Lions, who made the playoffs last year, are considered 13/2 shots, with the Ottawa Redblacks the only team shorter than 10/1 at a price of 7/1.
Both the Edmonton Elks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats are 10/1 in the outright betting, with the Calgary Stampeders expected to be the worst team in the league at 30/1.
