BC Lions finished the 2022 regular season with a 12-6 record before losing in the Division Finals of the playoffs.

The Lions started the season hot as the won eight of their first nine games, with the sole loss coming to back-to-back defending Grey Cup champions Winnipeg.

That run also included a 44-3 blowout of a Toronto team that went on to win the championship.

BC cooled off in the second half of the season, losing five of their remaining nine games, but that did not prevent them from making the postseason.

The Lions downed Calgary 30-16 in the division semi-finals, but came up short in the West Final as they lost 28-20 to Winnipeg.

Calgary compiled a 12-6 record during the 2022 regular season only to fall at the first hurdle in the playoffs.

The Stampeders made a strong start as they reeled off four consecutive wins, but their form dipped over the next several weeks as they lost three times to Winnipeg and twice to BC.

That left them with an 8-5 record, but they picked things up over the next few weeks to go into the postseason in good shape.

Calgary won four of their remaining six games and that set up a West semi-final clash with the BC Lions.

The Stampeders went 1-2 against the Lions in the regular season and suffered another defeat in the postseason, losing 30-16.
