Edmonton head out on the road looking to record a third consecutive victory after improving to 2-7 in recent weeks.

The Elks opened up the season with back-to-back home games, but failed to make that count as they lost both games.

They then lost two straight on the road to go into their first bye week at 0-4, and when they returned to action things did not improve quickly.

Edmonton lost three more games, losing to Ottawa 37-34 at home and 20-14 on the road, before suffering a 44-28 home defeat at the hands of Hamilton.

The Elks finally stopped the rot in Week 9 though, beating Saskatchewan 42-31 on the road, and they backed that up last time out with a 33-17 victory at home to the BC Lions.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats Form

Hamilton head into this matchup on the back of a couple of losses to defending champions Montreal that has left them 2-7.

The Tiger-Cats kicked off the season with five consecutive defeats, but rallied following their first bye week of the campaign.

They got off the mark as they battled to a 27-24 home win over Toronto, and backed it up a week later by downing Edmonton 44-28 on the road.

Hamilton failed to keep that win streak going though, as they were handed the tough assignment of back-to-back meetings with Montreal.

The Tiger-Cats were beaten 33-16 when they hosted the defending champion Alouettes, and then fell to a 33-23 defeat on the road a week later.

Momentum is with Edmonton, but track record suggests taking the hosts and the points.

Hamilton have dominated the Elks in recent seasons and the visitors possess an uninspiring road record.
