Edmonton head back out on the road still looking for their first victory of the 2023 regular season.

The Elks, who went 4-14 in 2022, opened the season with a 17-13 home defeat at the hands of Saskatchewan.

They were then handed the tough task of facing two contenders over the next couple of weeks, and both outings ended in defeat.

Edmonton were shut out as they suffered a 22-0 defeat to the BC Lions in their first road game of the season.

The Elks then fell to 0-3 last weekend as they were beaten 43-31 by defending CFL champions, Toronto.

Ottawa also go into this game with a winless record, having lost their first two games of the campaign.

Like Edmonton, the Redblacks also went 4-14 in 2022 and are looking for improvement during the current campaign.

However, their offense has failed to fire through the first two games, resulting in a 0-2 record as they return from the bye week.

Ottawa opened the season on the road and suffered a 19-12 defeat at the hands of Montreal.

The Redblacks then dropped their home opener too, falling to a 26-15 when they defeated Calgary in Week 2.
