Hamilton head to the defending champions looking to bounce back from a season-opening loss.

The Tiger-Cats were able to put up 31 points at Winnipeg in Week 1, but that was not enough as they fell to a 42-31 defeat.

There will be no panic in the camp though – last season they overcame a slow start to make the postseason.

Hamilton opened the season with four consecutive defeats and did not register their first win until the middle of July.

The Tiger-Cats got hot in the final few weeks though, winning five of their last six games to finish 8-10, and that set up a playoff meeting with Montreal which they lost 28-17.

Toronto Argonauts Form

Defending champions Toronto are making their first appearance of the season following a Week 1 bye.

The Argonauts won their season-opener a year ago, but blew hot and cold through the first half of the season to go 4-5 in their first nine games.

They caught fire in the second of the season though, winning seven of their final nine regular season games to finish 11-7.

That record was good enough for a first-round bye in the playoffs, and when Toronto returned to action they clinched a Grey Cup berth with a 34-27 win over Montreal.

The Argonauts then topped that, wrecking Winnipeg’s bid for a championship three-peat with a 24-23 victory.
