Ottawa go into this game having compiled a 9-8-1 regular season record to finish third in the East Division.

The Redblacks got off to a strong start as they won seven of their first 10 games, losing two and tying the other.

Their form cooled off after that though, as they lost four of their five games before their final bye week of the season.

Ottawa then returned to action with a 19-12 defeat in Montreal, before heading to Toronto for a 38-31 loss to the Argonauts.

The Redblacks did at least wrap up the regular season with a win though, beating Hamilton 37-31.

Toronto enter the playoffs having put together a 10-8 record to finish second in the East Division standings.

The Argonauts failed to string together any lengthy win streaks during the season, but they also avoided any long losing skids.

On only two occasions did they lose back-to-back games, and they ended the regular season winning three of their final four games.

Toronto beat Montreal 37-31 before their final bye week of the season, and then returned to action with a 14-11 win in Winnipeg.

The Argonauts made it three-in-a-row by beating Ottawa 38-31, only to see their streak end with a 31-30 overtime defeat in Edmonton last time out.
