The Tiger-Cats visited Calgary for their season-opener and were beaten 38-26 in a game that was not nearly as close as the final score suggests.

It was a bad start for a team looking to bounce back from a 2024 campaign that saw them miss out on the postseason.

Hamilton began that season with a five-game losing skid and went on to lose nine of their first 11 games to render their September flurry pointless.
