The Roughriders got off to a strong start by winning three of their first four games, only to then lose three straight games.

They rallied in August though, beating Ottawa 26-24 before rebounding from a 41-12 loss in Montreal with a couple of huge upset wins at home.

Saskatchewan beat the BC Lions 34-29 and then stunned Winnipeg in overtime, 32-30, to reach 6-5.

The Roughriders were blown out 51-6 in Winnipeg a week later though, and that was followed up by a 36-27 loss to Edmonton.

Ottawa Redblacks Form

Ottawa come into this matchup on a seven-game losing skid that has left them 3-10 and out of the playoff picture.

The Redblacks lost their first two games of the season, but threatened a promising season when they returned from the bye week and won three of their next four games.

They beat Edmonton 26-7, and then rebounded from a 21-13 loss in Hamilton with a 31-29 overtime upset of Winnipeg and a 43-41 overtime victory over Calgary.

Ottawa have not won since though, with a 16-12 defeat to Hamilton sparking a seven-game slump.

Since returning from their second bye week of the season, Ottawa have lost 27-24 to Hamilton and 41-37 at the BC Lions.
