The Roughriders warmed up for the 2025 campaign with back-to-back defeats, but since the real action began they have been in good form.

They opened their season at home and made the most of it as they ran out 31-26 winners over Ottawa.

Saskatchewan then backed that victory up a week later, as they went out on the road to take down Hamilton, 28-23.

The Roughriders now have a trip to defending champions Toronto and a home meeting with the BC Lions before their first bye week of the season.

Toronto enter this matchup in desperate need of a win, having made a miserable start to their defence of the Grey Cup.

The Argonauts went all the way to claim the championship a year ago, but they find themselves at 0-2 after the first two games of the 2025 campaign.

They kicked off the season with a rematch against the team they beat in last year’s East Final, but this time it was Montreal who came out on top, 28-10.

Toronto then played their home opener a week later, but their first outing at BMO Field did not go to plan.

The Argonauts suffered a 29-19 defeat at the hands of Calgary, leaving them winless heading into this meeting with the Roughriders.
