Winnipeg are tipped to cover as they avenge last year’s Grey Cup defeat.

The Blue Bombers are still fighting to secure top sport in the West and secure homefield advantage.

The Argonauts, on the other hand, have wrapped up top spot in the East and will rest a bunch of starters, including QB Chad Kelly.

Toronto take a league-best 12-1 record into this game that has secured a place in the postseason.

The Argonauts made a 6-0 start to the 2023 campaign, with their signature win during that run being a 45-24 success against the BC Lions.

Their perfect start was halted by a 20-7 defeat at Calgary that saw them lose start quarterback during the game.

Chad Kelly returned a week later though, and led the team to a 44-31 win against Ottawa that sparked a six-game win streak.

Since then they have beaten Calgary 39-31 and sandwiched 39-10 and 23-20 wins over Montreal with 41-29 and 29-14 victories against Hamilton.

Winnipeg come into this game with a playoff place clinched, but they have now lost two of the last three to drop to 10-4.

The Blue Bombers went 5-2 before their first bye week of the season, a run that included a 30-6 blowout loss to the BC Lions.

They found some form between late July and late August though, as they reeled off five consecutive wins that included a 50-14 rout of the Lions.

Winnipeg’s streak was halted by a surprise 32-30 overtime defeat at Saskatchewan, but they rebounded a week later with a 51-6 demolition of the Roughriders.

The Blue Bombers failed to back that up though, as they were beaten 29-23 at Hamilton before their second bye week.
