The Seminoles made a statement in their season-opener as they knocked off #5 LSU, 45-25, to propel them into the top five teams in College Football.

They backed that up a week later as they made straightforward work of Southern Mississippi, 66-13, in their home opener.

Florida State then improved to 3-0 last weekend, but they were made to work for the win in their first conference game.

The Seminoles had to fend off a fourth quarter fightback from Boston College to win 31-29 on the road.

Clemson Form

Clemson go into this game in desperate need of a win after making a 2-1 start that includes a defeat in ACC play.

The Tigers opened the season ranked #9 in College Football, but got off to a shocking start when they visited Duke.

They fell to a surprise 28-7 defeat that knocked them out of the top 10 heading into their home opener.

Clemson did rebound with a 66-17 victory over Charleston Southern, but that was not enough to prevent them from falling out of the top 25.

The Tigers did make it back-to-back wins last Saturday though, downing Florida Atlanta 48-14 to gain some momentum heading into this big clash.
