Florida State head out on the road for the final time this season looking to snap a five-game skid that has left them 1-8.

The Seminoles’ miserable season began with a 24-21 defeat in Ireland, which was followed by home defeats to Boston College, 28-13, and Memphis, 20-12.

They finally got off the mark with a 14-9 win over California back on September 21, but they have not been able to add to that victory.

Florida State returned to losing ways with a 42-16 loss at SMU, and were then beaten 29-13 by Clemson and 23-16 at Duke.

The Seminoles’ skid continued with a 36-14 loss to Miami FL in their rivalry game, and it reached five games last weekend as they lost 35-11 at home to North Carolina.

Notre Dame return home on a six-game win streak that has taken them to 7-1 and put them in the playoff hunt.

The Fighting Irish opened the season with a 23-13 win at Texas A&M, only to suffer a huge upset at the hands of Northern Illinois a week later, losing 16-14 in their home opener.

They issued an emphatic response to that shock though, as they went out on the road to blow out Purdue 66-7, before returning home to beat Miami OH 28-3.

Notre Dame’s winning run continued with two more home wins as they beat Louisville 31-24 and Stanford 49-7.

The Fighting Irish then took their streak to six games with a couple of neutral venue wins, beating Georgia Tech 31-13 and Navy 51-14.

Notre Dame are playoff bound while Florida State cannot wait for a miserable season to end.

The points spread is big in this one, but the Fighting Irish are playing well on both sides of the football so we like their chances of covering.
