Miami FL head to the West Coast having survived a scare last week to improve their perfect record to 5-0.

The Hurricanes made a statement in their season opener as they travelled to ‘The Swamp’ and blew out Florida in a 41-17 victory.

They backed that up in their home opener a week later, beating Florida A&M 56-9, before shutting out Ball State in a 6-2 victory.

Miami FL then took their record to 4-0 a week later, beating South Florida 50-15 to set themselves up for their conference opener.

The Hurricanes trailed for much of the game, but a fourth-quarter rally was enough for them to snatch a 38-34 against Virginia Tech.

California enter this matchup with a 3-1 record, having lost their ACC debut two weeks ago.

The Golden Bears moved over from the Pac-12 in the offseason and warmed up for their conference schedule with three consecutive wins.

They opened the season with a 31-13 victory over California Davis, before heading out on the road to down Auburn 21-14.

California then made it to 3-0 when they beat San Diego State, 31-10, but they were unable to improve to 4-0 a fortnight ago.

The Golden Bears visited Florida State for their first ever ACC outing, and they returned home empty-handed as they were beaten 14-9 by the Seminoles.

A cross-country trip is taxing, but Miami FL are heading to the West Coast in excellent form and we expect Cam Ward to make another Heisman Trophy statement.
