Notre Dame come into this matchup having bounced back from a shock defeat in their home opener to improve to 2-1.

The Fighting Irish entered the 2024 season looking to get back into the College Football Playoffs after missing out a year ago, but they suffered a setback early on.

They opened up the season with a hard-earned 23-13 victory at Texas A&M, but failed to back that up in their home opener.

Notre Dame returned to South Bend to take on Northern Illinois, and slumped to a surprise 16-14 defeat.

That left the Fighting Irish needing to record convincing wins the rest of the way as they try to stay in the playoff picture, and they did just that last weekend as they beat Purdue, 66-7.

Notre Dame issued an emphatic response to that shock loss by destroying Purdue on the road last week.

More of the same is required and they owe the home fans a performance here, so we expect the Fighting Irish to roll over Miami OH.
