Ohio State go into this rivalry game boasting a perfect record, having won all 11 of their games so far.

That nearly wasn’t the case though, as they Buckeyes trailed #9 Notre Dame on the road in late September.

It took a touchdown with just one second remaining to snatch a 17-14 victory over the Fighting Irish in South Bend.

Ohio State have not looked back since though, reeling off a string of wins including a 20-12 victory over #7 Penn State.

And over the last couple of weeks the defense has allowed just two field goals as the Buckeyes beat Michigan State 38-3 and Minnesota 37-3.

Michigan continue to boast a flawless record despite the suspension of head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Wolverines have been on a roll all season long, stacking up commanding wins while performing well on both sides of the football.

Their first real challenge came on November 9 when they visited #9 Penn State, and that task was made harder 24 hours before kick-off when it was announced that Harbaugh was suspended.

Michigan rose to the occasion though, as they were able to beat the Nittany Lions 24-15 on the road.

The Wolverines then backed that up last weekend, improving to 11-0 with a 31-24 victory in Maryland.

Michigan have survived without Jim Harbaugh so far, but this may be the game where his absence is finally felt.

Points are likely to be at a premium, and the Buckeyes are expected to make the better adjustments given that their head coach is not watching on TV.
