The Boilermakers opened up with a 49-0 shutout win over Indiana State, but it has been all downhill since then.

They suffered a brutal beatdown at the hands of Notre Dame, losing 66-7 at home, and then lose 38-21 at Oregon State.

Purdue’s skid continued as they were beaten 28-10 at home by Nebraska, and they then went out on the road to lose 52-6 in Wisconsin and 50-49 at Illinois.

The Boilermakers’ miserable run then reached seven games at home, as they lost 35-0 to Oregon and 26-20 to Northwestern.

Ohio State return home looking to follow up on last week’s big win over Penn State that improved their record to 7-1.

The Buckeyes kicked off the campaign with a string of blowout wins at home, beating Akron 52-6, Western Michigan 56-0 and Marshall 49-14.

They then went out on the road for the first time and took down Michigan State, 38-7, before returning home to down Iowa, 35-7.

Ohio State’s perfect run was finally halted by a 32-31 defeat at Oregon, but they issued an immediate response in the form of a 21-17 victory over Nebraska.

The Buckeyes then made it back-to-back wins last weekend, as they went out on the road to beat Penn State, 20-13.
