The Scarlet Knights opened the season with three straight home games and made home field advantage count.

They kicked things off with a 24-7 victory over Northwestern that saw them open up a 24-point lead before finally giving up points in the fourth quarter.

Rutgers then erupted offensively in the fourth quarter of the meeting with Temple, putting up 23 points in that period as they ran out 36-7 winners.

The Scarlet Knights then made it three wins in a row as they wore down Virginia Tech to earn a 35-16 win.

Michigan Form

Michigan come into this game looking to keep their 100% record intact after winning their first three games.

The Wolverines opened the season against East Carolina and cruised to a 30-3 win over the Pirates.

They then backed up that victory with another win-sided win, putting up 35 points through the first three quarters before taking their foot off the gas in a 35-7 success against UNLV.

Michigan’s perfect start reached three games a week later, as they rode a strong third quarter performance to a 31-6 win over Bowling Green.

The Wolverines’ three-game win streak has come without head coach Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines, but he is back from suspension for this clash with Rutgers.

Michigan are clearly the better team and should run out winners here.

However, they are yet to cover this season and Rutgers have improved significantly in the offseason, so we like the Scarlet Knights and the points.
