Washington State come into this game on the back of a win that ended their six-game slide and improved their record to 5-6.

The Cougars made a dream start to the season as they won four consecutive games and beat two ranked opponents.

They beat #19 Wisconsin 31-22 and #14 Oregon State 38-35 to climb into the top 25, but their stay lasted only a few weeks.

Washington State’s 25-17 loss to UCLA sparked a six-game losing sequence that also saw them lose 38-24 at #9 Oregon.

The Cougars were able to stop the rot last weekend though, and they did it in emphatic fashion by blowing out Colorado, 56-14.

The Huskies got their first statement win in mid-October when they hosted #8 Oregon and ran out 36-33 winnners.

They followed up that victory with a 15-7 win at home to Arizona, before heading to Stanford for a 42-33 win that set them up for a make-or-break run of three straight meetings with ranked teams.

Washington rose to the occasions, winning 52-42 at #24 USC before heading home to down #13 Utah, 35-28.

The Huskies than beat #10 Oregon State 22-20 last weekend, earning them a move from #5 to #4 in the rankings.
