New England are still seeking their first win this season as they head out on the road for the first time.

The Patriots opened the 2023 campaign with back-to-back home games, but both were tough assignments for Bill Belichick’s team.

First up was a meeting with a Philadelphia Eagles team who went close to winning the Super Bowl last season.

New England trailed by 16 points after the first quarter and trailed the rest of the way as they were beaten 25-20.

The Patriots then saw a fourth-quarter fightback come up short as they were beaten 24-17 by division rivals Miami.

New York Jets Form

New York return home with a 1-1 record after failing to build on their opening-game win.

Jets fans had high hopes for the season when the team lured quarterback Aaron Rodgers away from the Green Bay Packers in the offseason.

However, Rodgers lasted only four snaps of the ball as he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 1.

Despite losing Rodgers, New York were able to scrap their way to a surprise 22-16 overtime win at home to Buffalo.

The Jets were unable to follow that up in their first road game of the season though, falling to a 30-10 defeat at Dallas last time out.
