The Stars lost three of their first five games, but rebounded in the second half of the season to finish second in the North with a 6-4 record.

They won four of their final five games, downing Tampa Bay, Houston, Michigan and Pittsburgh.

That four-game win streak was halted in the regular season finale when they lost to Saturday’s opponents, New Jersey, for the second time.

Philly led the league in scoring with 262 points, but that was countered by a defense that got gashed for 243 points.
