The Horned Frogs’ success has been built on an offense that is top five in the nation in points per game.

They started the season with three consecutive non-conference wins, and the sent a huge message with four straight wins against ranked teams in conference play.

TCU beat #18 Oklahoma 55-24 at home and then downed #19 Kansas 38-31 on the road.

They then returned home to knock off #8 Oklahoma State 43-40 before beating Saturday’s opponents, #17 Kansas State, 38-28.

The Horned Frogs then climbed into the top four in the polls with a 41-31 victory at Virginia and a 34-24 victory at home to Texas Tech.

They then concluded the regular season by following up a 17-10 win at #18 Texas with a 29-28 victory at Baylor and 62-14 blowout of Iowa State.

Kansas State Form

Kansas State head into the conference championship game looking to avenge a regular season defeat.

The Wildcats opened with wins against South Dakota (34-0) and Missour (40-12), but soon suffered their first defeat as they lost 17-10 to Tulane.

They rebounded in the best possible fashion with a 41-34 win at #6 Oklahoma, and the backed it up by beating Texas Tech 37-28 and Iowa State 10-9.

That run was then halted by a 38-28 defeat at the hands of Saturday’s opponents, then #8 TCU.

Kansas State bounced back with a stunning 48-0 shutout of #9 Oklahoma State, but they failed to build on it as they were beaten 34-27 at home by Texas.

The Wildcats again avoided back-to-back defeats though, beating Baylor 31-3 on the road.

They then downed West Virginia 48-31 before returning home to beat Kansas 47-27 in the regular season finale.
