Birmingham are tipped to cover as an underdog in St Louis.

The Stallions have lost some of their aura this season, but they do boast the best defense in the league in terms of points allowed so it is tough to see the Battlehawks pulling away.

Birmingham head back out on the road looking to make it three wins in a row and improve to 6-2.

The Stallions have won a spring football championship in each of the past three seasons, but they made a rough start to 2025 as they lost 18-11 in DC.

They responded well though, reeling off three straight victories as they won 21-12 at Michigan, 10-8 at home to Arlington and 23-16 in Houston.

Birmingham’s run was ended by a shock 24-20 defeat at home to Memphis, but they again rebounded quickly from a loss.

The Stallions blew out San Antonio, 26-3, to return to winning ways, and backed that up with a 33-25 victory over Houston.

St Louis Battlehawks Form

St Louis enter this matchup having won three consecutive games to reach 5-2 and sit top of the division.

The Battlehawks kicked off the campaign on the road and made a strong start as they blew out Houston, 31-6.

They backed that up with a 26-9 win over San Antonio, only to then lose their next two games, falling 27-15 to DC and 30-15 in Arlington.

St Louis stopped the rot with a 32-27 home win over Michigan, and followed that up with a 12-6 success against Arlington.

The Battlehawks then made it three-in-a-row last weekend as they went out on the road to down Memphis 19-9.

The term “pick ‘em” springs to mind for this meeting between Birmingham and St Louis.
