Birmingham are tipped to win the rematch from last season’s South Division Championship Game.

Birmingham finished top of the South Division for the second season running thanks to a league-best 8-2 record.

The Stallions opened the season with back-to-back victories, following up a 27-10 win against New Jersey with a 42-2 blowout of Memphis.

They stumbled over the next few weeks, sandwiching a 24-20 win against Pittsburgh with a 45-31 loss to New Orleans and a 27-20 defeat to Houston, but they soon got back on track.

Birmingham won 27-13 at Michigan, before downing New Orleans 24-20 and Philadelphia 27-24.

The Stallions then wrapped up the regular season with two more wins, beating Houston 38-15 and Memphis 27-20.

New Orleans Breakers Form

New Orleans finished one game behind Birmingham in the South Division, having compiled a 7-3 record.

The Breakers made a fast start to the season, sparking a four-game win streak with a 22-15 victory over Pittsburgh.

They backed that up with a 38-31 win over Houston, a 45-31 victory against Birmingham and a 20-17 success against New Jersey.

New Orleans perfect start was halted by a 17-10 loss to Memphis though, and they then lost 16-10 to Philadelphia and 24-20 to Birmingham.

The Breakers turned it around at the start of June however, backing up a 24-20 win against Michigan with a 31-3 blowout of Memphis and a 17-10 victory over Houston.

Birmingham have put their early-season stumble firmly behind them in recent weeks.
