Pittsburgh Maulers Form

Pittsburgh go into the final weekend of the regular season with a 3-6 record, but a win on Saturday will see them into the postseason.

The Maulers are one of three teams locked at 3-6 in the North Division, one game behind leaders Philadelphia.

They started the season with back-to-back defeats to New Orleans and New Jersey, before finally getting off the mark with a 21-13 win against Philadelphia.

Pittsburgh then rebounded from a 24-20 loss to Birmingham with a 23-7 victory over Michigan, but they were unable to build on that as they then lost three straight.

The Maulers lost 22-0 at Memphis, before losing back-to-back ‘home’ games, 37-31 to Philadelphia and 20-19 to Houston.

They were able to snap their skid in Week 9 though, recording an important 19-7 win over Michigan.

New Jersey Generals Form

Like Pittsburgh, New Jersey are also 3-6 heading into this game and they are also one win away from the postseason.

The Generals currently occupy second place on tiebreakers thanks to a massive victory last time out.

They started the season with a 27-10 defeat to Birmingham, only to bounce back quickly by winning their next two games.

New Jersey beat Pittsburgh 20-3 and then downed Michigan 28-13, but they were unable to keep that sequence going.

The Generals lost 20-17 to New Orleans in Week 4, sparking a five-game skid that saw them lose 24-21 to Philadelphia, 16-10 to Houston, 25-22 to Michigan and 25-16 to Memphis.

They finally stopped the rot last weekend however, recording a huge 37-33 win against Philadelphia that has put them on the brink of the playoffs.
