The Defenders had to come from behind to snatch a 22-18 win at home to Seattle on opening night.

The following weekend they ran all over the Vipers in Vegas to win their opening road game, 18-6.

DC maintained then opened up a one-game lead in the North Division when they held off St Louis to win 34-28 at home in Week 3.

The Defenders retained that one-game cushion in Week 4 as they completed a season sweep of Vegas with a 32-18 victory.

St Louis go into this matchup a game behind the visiting team thanks to a 3-1 record.

The Battlehawks opened the season with three consecutive road games and made a winning start as they overturned a 12-point deficit in the final three minutes to beat San Antonio 18-15.

They then snatched a 20-18 victory at Seattle a week later, before finally suffering their first defeat in Week 3.

St Louis saw another rescue mission fall short in DC as they were beaten 34-28 by the Defenders.

The Battlehawks bounced back at the first attempt though, beating Arlington 24-11 in front of over 38,000 fans in their first home game of the season.
