Houston go into this game with a 4-1 record after losing for the first time in team history.

The Roughnecks went 5-0 in 2020 for the pandemic ended the season early, and made a 4-0 start to 2023.

The opened with three consecutive home games, beating Orlando 33-12, Arlington 23-14 and San Antonio 22-13.

Houston then made it four-in-a-row in their road opener, blowing out the Guardians 44-16 in Orlando.

The Roughnecks failed to improve to 5-0 though, seeing their late fightback fall short in a 21-14 defeat in Seattle.

DC boast the only 5-0 record in the XFL and now have a commanding two-game lead in the North Division.

The Defenders kicked off their season with a 22-18 come-from-behind win at home to Seattle.

They then built on that with an 18-6 win in Vegas, before returning home to down St Louis in a big division clash, 34-28.

DC’s perfect run continued at home as they won the return meeting with Vegas in convincing fashion 32-18.

That set up a huge trip to St Louis in Week 5, and the Defenders left with the ‘dub’ thanks to a 28-20 victory.
